BASS ( BASICS Art and Sound Studio)

BASS ( BASICS Art and Sound Studio)  is a nonprofit, “youth development through the arts” program.  The programs mission is to help at-risk, disenfranchised youth develop the self-discipline, self-confidence and self-esteem necessary to lead positive and productive lives.  We prepare young people for life’s challenges and opportunities through an arts education program that fosters listening and learning skills, creativity and responsibility.initially funded by the Australian High Commission in Ghana, West Africa; the studio was launched in July 2012.

Classes in singing, instruments, and sound recording and engineering are offered.  In addition, young people are taught how to do business in the music business, as many young people gravitate to this industry, as their only hope.

This is an arts project that involves musicians, dancers, visual artists, producers, journalists and marketers who make up an entertainment team that works to make in impact in the lives of young people. BASS will produce music, documentaries and audio projects on issues important to the children and their community which will be channeled to an internet based radio show.
