THE 2010 BA.S.I.C.S CALENDAR

now, before they sell out. Limited copies available.
The calendars are great stocking stuffers and/or
grab bag gift for the holidays. Purchase a calendar
or become a salesman/woman to support this special
cause. This years calendar features 12 pictures
selected from over 300 photographs taken by the
children of BASICS as part of a digital photography
appreciation project during the vacation program
this year.
About 100 children embarked on a journey to document
their community through photography the result of
this exercise are the fantastic photographs used
in the 2010 calendar.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will used to support

ENVELOPE ANGEL Fundraiser
This special donation will
help BASICS reach its goal to raise $58,000 by July
2009. This is the amount we need to keep our doors
open to hundreds of children daily. Due to the recent
economic crisis worldwide, many donors were not
able to fulfill their pledges. This donor fatique
has put BASICS in a crisis; and not able to meet
its budget for the remaining fiscal year. Your donation
will secure our current facility, provide food for
the feeding program and pay salaries to teachers.

A CHILD in Primary School
A donation of $30.00
(USD) can sponsor a child's education at Primary
Level ie.(Elementary Level).
*Sponsorship covers school fees, levies (PTA, etc),
uniforms, text books and stationary. |

A CHILD in Secondary School
A donation of $500.00 (USD)can sponsor a child's
education at Senior Secondary Level (High School). Boarding is inclusive.

GENERAL DONATION
Make
a general donation to support the CORE efforts of
BASICS. General donations support the FEEDING PROGRAM,
Teachers/Tutors Salaries and Medical expenses.

4.FAMILY
HEALTH INSURANCE (NHIS)
Provide a family with health insurance; which will
insure proper health care and healthier families.
$50.00 a year,will give the freedom to a family
to attend the hospital or doctor when need arises.
Children die daily due to poor choices made by families
who divert to traditional or home remedies.

5..EXPANSION
In January 2009, BASICS
purchased a parcel of land to build a larger facility
in Chorkor, Ghana.. The new facility will enable
us offer more services to more children who are
desperately in need. BASICS is looking to raise
$250,000 for this expansion.

The Academic Year
is from September to August the following year. Sponsorship
covers school fees, levies (PTA, etc), uniforms, text
books and stationary.
You will be introduced to your sponsored child through
photographs, biography, and letters from each child. Report
Cards will be sent at the close of each academic year,
so you see your children's progress. |
