are many volunteer opportunities at BASICS and we gladly
welcome your help and service. At BASICS we believe that
everyone has something to offer even if it's a HUG!
International Volunteers
Volunteers are welcomed to participate
in long or short term, with opportunities available in
many fields. You would be responsible for your own room
and board. We will assist you in finding affordable accomodation
for your time in Ghana. There
are no fees involved.

Internship Program:
If
you are a high school (SSS) or college student with an
interest in learning more about community development,
working with youth and families, or cultivating administrative
skills, this program is for you We
provide stipends for students who can commit to a minimum
of 20 hours a week. Interns work directly with BASICS
staff. |

Mentor Program:
If you are interested in our Mentoring
programs, we need mentors and positive role models for
our young boys and girls ages 8-21. Donate an hour or
two a week by leading a workshop, helping tutor a student,
reading a book to a child or having a child shadow you
at your job/social activities.
If you can commit to once or twice a week be a part of
our mentor program. This is a chance of a lifetime for
many of our youth to make meaningful connections that
can last a lifetime!
